Annapurna region is located in the mid-north of the Kathmandu valley and the trek from Pokhara to Ghandruk region is the most beautiful route towards the base of Mt. Annapurna.
The expedition starts with a tour around Kathmandu valley, where you can visit the World Heritage Sites and later the tour continues to Annapurna where you will completely forget the busy streets of the city and get blended in the nature and a completely different lifestyle. This evergreen route takes you through picturesque villages inhabited by friendly and hospitable locals along with a closer view of the majestic Annapurna ranges, Mt. Dhaulagiri, Machhapuchre, Himchuli, Tukuche Peak, Lamjung Himal and Nilgiri, without having to reach high altitude.
The maximum elevation point of this trek is around 3200 meters making it one of the less challenging treks in the Annapurna Circuit and can be done easily by children and senior citizens as well- it is a perfectly designed family trek. The Annapurna Family Trek is a teahouse trek in which you will be facilitated with some of the best hotels in the region and enjoy some of the best authentic local food on offer. We will take along a few porters to help you carry your bags, a guide and the guide’s supporter to help you with anything throughout your journey. Also, we take an extra cook along with us to serve you anything you wish to eat. You will also get to witness and explore the typical Gurung? villages with traditional lifestyle. This trekking trail leads you to one of Nepal’s most beautiful and modern village, Ghandruk, where people carry their own culture and lifestyle. This trek is ideal for someone who is new to trekking and/or wants to trek with the family and has a time constraint. And watching the sun rise from behind the Dhaulagiri and the views of sunset over the Machhapuchre in the evening are the charmers of this all season trek.
We will drive to Pokhara (820m) from Kathmandu.
From Pokhara we’ll travel to Tikhe Dhunga (1540m) via Nayapul which should take around 3 to 4 hours.
Our trekking journey begins from Tikhe dhunga then on to Nange thati and finally Ghorepani(2860 m). You will witness gorgeous magar village and untouched beauties of the nature during the 7 hour trek.
After a relaxing night in the refreshing environment of Ghorepani, our journey continues to Banthati and then after a 6 hour trek we will stop for the day at Tadapani, which is 2630 m.
From Tadapani we head downwards to Ghandruk and then on to Syauli Bazar(1220 m), which will take 6 to 7 hours.
We will head back to Nayapul(1070 m) from Syauli Bazar and go back to Pokhara by road, which is a 1 to 2 hours’ drive.
