Overview

As the name suggest, Annapurna Short and Sweet treks takes you through the highlands of the spectacular Annapurna Region within 5 days.

The trek offers a breath taking view of the majestic Himalayan range hiking along the Australian Camp, which is popular for the spectacular view of the mountains it provides.

The trekking trail is enchanting as we pass through the lush rhododendron forests, small ethnic villages and the divine Annapurna, Machhapuchhre, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. The Annapurna Short and Sweet trek is ideal for those who have limited travelling time. This trek gives you a chance to witness magical mix of the Annapurna range, with cultural experience.

Day by Day

YOUR ADVENTURE DIARY

  • Day 1

    Today we will start with a hearty breakfast before embarking on a scenic drive from Kathmandu (1350m) to Pokhara (830m). Along the way stop for lunch before continuing the journey to Birethati (1025m). The journey will last around 8–9 hours, taking us across the beautiful Trishuli, Marshyangdi and Madi rivers, with beautiful views of Ganesh Mountains, Manaslu Ranges, Buddha Ranges, LamJung Mountains, Annapurna Ranges, Nilgiri chains , the Dhaulagiri Sequence, and the Gurja Himal Sequence. Upon arrival at Nayapul (1070m), we will disembark from the vehicle and take a short 30–40 minute walk to Birethanti where we will spend the night.

  • Day 2

    From Birethanti, we will begin a scenic hike following Modi Khola towards Upper Syauli Bazar, a popular destination for experienced kayakers. Our destination for the day was the Gurung-dominated village of Ghandruk (1940m), which has a rich history of recruiting for the British Gorkha Army. The trip to Ghandruk is estimated at 4 to 5 hours. Upon arrival, we will visit a number of cultural and historical attractions. At Ghandruk we will have beautiful views of the southern Annapurna, Hiunchuli and Machhapuchhre mountain ranges. We will also visit Gurung Museum, Buddhist Monastery and a small tea garden. Additionally, we'll learn about the flora and fauna of the Annapurna region at the Annapurna Project Regional Center, where we'll see a slideshow on the history, timeline and recent activities in the national park. Nepal's largest, established in 1992 with an area of ​​7629 km².

  • Day 3

    From Ghandruk (1940m), we will start a 4–5 hour journey down to Jhinu Danda (1780m). Upon arrival, we will rest and enjoy the rejuvenating experience of the natural hot spring. During the trip, we will be surrounded by various species of Rhododendron and lush forest. The hot springs are just a 15 minutes walk from the hotel, to the Modi Khola . After relaxing at the natural hot spring, we will return to the hotel to stay overnight.

  • Day 4

    From Jhinu Danda (1780m), we will begin a 4–5 hour hike to the picturesque village of Landruk (1565m) and then to Tolkha (1700m). Our journey will continue along the Modi Khola River and Landruk is famous for its honey hunting. Landruk lies at the foot of the Annapurna South and Hiun Chuli peaks and offers beautiful views of Ghandruk. We will stop for lunch in Landruk before continuing on to Tolkha for one night.

  • Day 5

    Starting from Tolkha (1700m), we will begin our journey to the tranquil location of Australian Camp (2144m) through Kande (1770m). Along the way, we'll walk through a lush rhododendron forest, surrounded by breathtaking views of the Himalayas. After arriving at Australian Camp (2060m), we will spend the night in a peaceful and serene environment.

  • Day 6

    At the end of the tour, we will leave the tranquil surroundings of the Australian camp and head towards Kande. From there, we will drive to Pokhara and then back to Kathmandu by vehicle.
