Visit Gokyo and EBC in Khumbu Valley
The Everest Base Camp trek through Gokyo Lakes is the ideal trek for someone looking for adventure. The trek takes the trekker to the Gokyo Valley, Chola pass and the famous viewpoint, Kalapatthar.
The trek further cuts across the landmarks of the Everest Region along with the majestic mountains, hospitable Sherpas and Namche Bazzar. Gokyo has a reputation among the adventurers as it is a hidden valley with crystal clear blue lakes. Many trekkers believe their Everest Base Camp Trek is incomplete without visiting the Gokyo valley.
We will take a flight from Kathmandu (1350m) to Lukla (2840m) and then trek for 3 hours to Phakding(2610m).
After trekking for 4 to 5 hours from Phakding we will reach Namche (3440m).
At Namche, we will rest and gather our energy to continue our trek. We will visit the view point and some monasteries and museums.
From Namche we will trek for about 6 to 7 hours and reach Deboche(3820m).
From Deboche we will head towards Pheriche (4240m) and the visit the HRA after a 5 hour trek.
From Pheriche we will trek for about 5 to 6 hours and reach Lobuche (4910m). We will visit the Pyramid at Lobuche.
From Lobuche we will head towards Gorekshep (5140m). After a 4 hour trek and then we will visit the Everest Base Camp(5364m).
We will visit the Kalapathhar (5550m) and head towards Dzongla(4830m), which is a 7 hour trek from Gorekshep.
From Dzongla we will head towards Cholapass (5420m) and then to Gokyo (4790m), which will take around 8 to 9 hours
We will visit the 5th lake at Gokyo (4990m), which will be a 5 hour trek. and then head towards Machhermo(4470m).
From Machhermo we will trek for about 7 to 8 hours to head back to Namche.
From Namche we will trek for further 7 to 8 hours to reach Lukla.
From Lukla we will take a flight back to Kathmandu.
