Gokyo valley, is the most beautiful valley in the Everest region. This trek is ideal for travelers who want to witness the magnificent Everest range at a closer range without any stress.
This trek is an amazing chance to explore gorgeous destinations that are beyond one’s imagination. Besides the glacier and the valley of the lovely lakes, there is a small peak known as Gokyori from where you can catch exquisite panorama of the Everest, Cho Oyu, Lhotse, Makalu, Nuptse and Thamserku standing behind the glistening turquoise water of the Sacred Lakes.
Although the locals call it the “Valley of Death” due to the lives the altitude sickness has taken, it is one of the most favored Everest Base Camp trail and is believed to be the paradise on earth. The trail of this trekking route is lined up with rhododendron and birch forests with exotic wild animals. You will come across numerous suspension bridges that add thrill to the trip. Visit the six scared lakes of the Gokyo valley, get a closer look at the typical life style and culture and be forever thankful to yourself for having chosen this trekking route.
We will take a flight from Kathmandu (1350m) to Lukla and then trek for about 5 to 6 hours and reach Monjo (2835m).
From Monjo we will trek for about 3 to 4 hours and head towards Namche (3440m).
At Namche, we will rest and gather our energy to continue our trek. We will visit the view point and some monasteries and museums.
From Namche we will trek for about 6 to 7 hours and reach Dole (4200m).
From Dole we will reach Machhermo(4470m) after a 5 hour trek and visit the HRA.
From Machhermo we will head towards Gokyo(4790m), which will take around 3 to 4 hours and upon reaching Gokyo we will visit the 5th Lake.
We will visit Gokyori(5360m) before continuing our trek. We will trek for about 3 to 4 hours and reach Machhermo.
From Machhermo we will head back to Namche, which will take around 7 to 8 hours.
From Namche we will head back to Lukla, which will take further around 7 to 8 hours
We will take a flight back from Lukla to kathmandu .
