The Langtang region is as wild as any Tibetan highlands with idyllic rural landscape and the rich cultural heritage of ethnic Nepalese Tamang people. Despite being just 7/8 hours’ drive from Kathmandu, the trek along the off the beaten track of the rural and rugged mountains and the high passes dotted with chortens, stupas and prayer flags flapping in the wind make every trekker marvel why the country is called a “walker’s paradise”.
This trekking destination is just a day long bus journey from the capital, Kathmandu. The 7-day trekking tour provides varieties of experience. Tamang rituals, Tibetan culture, festivals, traditional architecture, costumes, local Syaphru dances make the exposure to this culture very unique.. The villages also sell exclusive handicraft items like traditional caps, mufflers and other items.
We will drive for about 7 to 8 hours from Kathmandu to Trishuli and then to Shyaphrubesi (1503m).
From Shyaphrubesi we will trek to Thuman (2338m).
From Thuman we will trek to Tatopani (2607m), which is a natural hot spring.
Hike at Tatopani
From Tatopani we will trek to Ghatlang (2238m).
From Ghatlang we will trek to Shyaphrubesi.
From Shyaphrubesi we will drive back to Kathmandu.
