Langtang lies about 130 kilometers north of Kathmandu and is Nepal’s first national park. Trekking to this region is adventurous as the area is visited by fewer numbers of people.

Langtang trek is also famous for its glaciers and high altitude lakes which include Gosaikunda, Parvatikunda, Bhairavkunda and Dudhkunda. 7 to 8 hours, drive from Kathmandu takes you to the beautiful Langtang region making it the nearest Himalayan region from the valley.
The region has an idyllic rural landscape despite of being closer to the capital city and hence trekking to this region is popular among those who wish a short trek from Kathmandu into the Himalayas. Trekking to Langtang valley gives you an experience of the colorful culture, religion and traditions of the Tibetan origin and varied landscape ranging from lush green forests, cascading waterfalls and sub-alpine grassland. The trekking routes lead up to the Langtang National Park, which was established in 1976 to conserve the flora and faunas of the region.
