The cost ranges from USD 95 to USD 120, and the route follows Jorpati-Sundarijal Road and Chisapani Road. For a cheaper option, you can take a bus from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel (about 3–3.5 hrs) and then hire a taxi for the remaining drive.
Drive to Sundarijal and Hike
For those who want comfort and a natural encounter, this option is best. Sundarijal is about 15 km northeast of Kathmandu, and you can reach it by local bus in 1–2 hrs for around NPR 100-200, or by taxi in 45–60 minutes for about NPR 1,500 (USD12). From Sundarijal, the 12 km hike to Chisapani takes 4–5 hrs. It passes Mulkharka village and enters the forest of Shivapuri National Park.
