Annapurna Moments with Good Friends

Reuniting with uni mates was meant to be chill… and then somehow, we ended up halfway up a mountain grinning like idiots. The Annapurna Circuit Trek was everything we hoped for and about a thousand things we never saw coming. Twelve days of jaw-dropping views, unexpected laughter, and just enough challenge to make us feel like proper explorers (though we definitely weren’t above doing the ‘tourist shuffle’ on the tough bits).

That push to Thorong La Pass? Absolute killer but the minute we made it to 5,416 meters, all the huffing and puffing turned into ridiculous grins and group selfies like we’d conquered Everest. HC Treks made the whole thing seamless, think cozy mountain lodges with actual beds, meals that kept us fueled (the dal bhat became our religion), and guides who kept spirits high even when our legs were screaming.

What really made it special though? Those unplanned moments drinking sweet milk tea at sunrise, the way the landscape changed like someone was flicking through postcards, inside jokes that’ll still get us laughing in twenty years. If you’re even half-considering this trek, just book it. The only thing you’ll regret is not doing it sooner! (And maybe not packing extra snickers bars seriously, pack extra snickers).
