Gosaikunda Lakes and the Heartfelt Connections Along the Way

What a journey! I signed up for this trek solo, hoping to disconnect and soak in some mountain peace but I left with so much more. By day two, I’d made friends from Germany, Canada, and Nepal, and suddenly it felt like we were all walking this beautiful path together. The trail winds through forests, villages, and yak pastures each with its own charm but the highlight for me was reaching the sacred Gosaikunda lakes. The energy there is just… different. Still. Calm. You feel it in your bones.

HC Treks handled everything with care and precision without ever making the trip feel rushed or commercial. Our guide was attentive and quick with mountain wisdom or a joke when we needed it. We even had a surprise mini snowball fight at Lauribina Pass, totally spontaneous and totally unforgettable. The rhythm of walking, resting, and reflecting was meditative in a way I didn’t expect.

To anyone wondering whether this trek is worth it yes, yes, a thousand times yes. It’s a rare combination of physical challenge, spiritual reward, and genuine human connection. I returned lighter somehow not just in luggage weight, but in heart and mind too.
