As you walk towards Kyanjin Gompa, the views of Langtang Lirung and Langtang Ri follow you continuously. Langtang Lirung is the highest peak in the Langtang Himal and is the same mountain whose massive snow avalanche destroyed Langtang Village during the 2015 earthquake. Whereas the Langtang Ri is the second-highest and forms part of the same massif as Langtang Lirung. You’ll see them as you leave the rebuilt Langtang Valley and pass Mundu.
